This week En Razak  exposed me  about the introduction to CATALOGUING.

Introduction to cataloguing : concept and process
·   Introduction to AACR
·   Procedure and process of cataloguing
·   Policy for materials and information cataloguing.
·   Materials and information forms and format – printed, unprinted,
   map,manuscript, music, micro Individual name entry ,
   (status, additional names etc) corporate bodies, uniform title,
   reference, etc

Konsep dan Proses Pengakatalogan
1. How do you locate the material in the library?
  -using one system to find the information before going to the rack.
2. How do you know thet certain material that youre looking for are
available in the library?
 -using catalog system
3. What is the information is given about a library material?
-we can read the summary of the material like ISBN,author information,
 how many pages,publication info,title and book synopsis ,etc

4. Are the any tools oe schemes used for information and can be generated?
-we can use SUBJECT TERM or the  efficent instrument to generate.

How's everybody.
In this first meet , En Razak  informed  us about the sylibus and exposed the main topic of
MPT 1173.

This course provides exposure and experience to students on application of Dewey Decimal Classification (DDC) coding system  and Anglo American Cataloging Rules 2 (AACR2), Other topics discussed are on development of database system, application of coding and rules in the management of educational information and resources

By the end o the class, we can:
